About the Role

Seeking a Project Controls Engineer to support scheduling and project controls services for large-scale, mission-critical projects. This role partners closely with project managers, construction teams, and stakeholder groups to create, maintain, and analyze CPM schedules and project control workflows from early planning through project closeout. The position plays an integral part in project delivery and offers substantial opportunities for professional advancement.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, update, and monitor construction CPM schedules.
- Review project specifications and documentation to establish accurate baseline schedules, identifying all milestones, logic ties, and required activities.
- Prepare detailed schedule updates, monthly narratives, and reporting packages.
- Assess project schedules and provide recommendations aligned with execution strategies.
- Perform critical-path, variance, and “what-if” analyses; identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Conduct on-site progress validation and produce regular progress reports.
- Evaluate contractor performance and present findings to project leadership.
- Create metrics, KPIs, and benchmarking tools to support program reporting.
- Support resource loading, cost tracking, and related reporting requirements.
- Identify schedule impacts, delays, and associated risks.
- Communicate schedule status, challenges, and recommendations clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings with project teams, clients, and owners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within vertical construction.

  • 2+ years of experience supporting mission-critical or data center projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).

  • Strong proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6.

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation accurately.

  • Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and industry best practices.

  • Experience developing schedules specifically for data center or complex MEP-intensive projects.

  • Familiarity with cost/resource loading and associated reporting.

  • Understanding of contract requirements related to planning and scheduling.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • PSP or PMI-SP certification preferred.

  • Full-time on-site presence required.
